Merrimack recruit Kevair Kennedy named Pennsylvania Player of the Year

MaxPreps named Merrimack recruit Kevair Kennedy its 2025 Pennsylvania Player of the Year.

The 6-foot guard led Father Judge to a 24-7 record. He averaged 16.1 points, 7.3 assists, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game. Kennedy shot 52.1 percent from the field.

In the state championship game last month, Kennedy led his team to a title with 29 points, six rebounds, five assists, and five steals. He posted a tripe-double in the state semifinals (17 points, 14 rebounds, and 13 assists).

Kennedy finished his high school career with over 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, and 500 assists.

Merrimack received a commitment from 6-foot-8 power forward Jacob Moore this week.

Moore is from Virginia and attends Paul VI Catholic High School. Moore was ranked No. 37 in Virginia by PrepHoops and was the No. 6 power forward prospect in the state.

From PrepHoops:

“Jacob proved to be a versatile defender, good mid-range shooter, and sound ball handler and passer. Jacob affects the game on the glass, blocking shots, and defending in the paint using his length.”
