Merrimack will travel to Rutgers to face the Scarlet Knights on Nov. 20. Rutgers announced its 2024-25 schedule on Monday.
This will mark the second time Merrimack has faced Rutgers. The first matchup between the programs was on Nov. 13, 2001 (a 48-35 Rutgers win).
Former Merrimack guard Jordan Derkack transferred to Rutgers this past spring. Derkack was one of the top players in the NEC last season and will face his former teammates for the first time.
The game will also serve as a homecoming for Merrimack head coach Joe Gallo, who grew up in nearby New Brunswick, N.J.
