Bushiroad announced the release date of the upcoming anime-inspired game Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation – Quest of Memories.
The game, which was announced a year ago alongside more anime games as part of the new Bushiroad Games label, will launch for PS5, PS4, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch on June 20, 2024.
It’s a dungeon-crawling JRPG, and it comes with two main modes. The first, called “Dead End Tale” includes an original scenario focusing on Rudeus, Eris, and Ruijerd.
You can accept various quests at the adventurers’ guild, and you can explore several environments that appear in the anime like the Demon continent and the Petrified Forest. You’ll notice the map with the typical dungeon-crawling RPG setup below.
Below you can see a battle, which will also see players face familiar monsters that appear in the original anime.
The second mode included in the game is Roxy’s Tale, which depicts the untold story of Roxy, Elinalise, and Talhand as they search for Rudeus. You can check out a screenshot below, showing the three familiar characters.
If you’d like to see more about the game, you can check out the first trailer and the second, released a while ago.
This is one among several games that have been announced by Bushiroad Games, most of which are from popular anime IP. These also include the JRPG Goblin Slayer: Another Adventurer – Nightmare Feast, coming on February 24 for PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch, and the shoot ’em up Macross: Shooting Insight, coming PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on March 14.
More recently announced titles are Danmachi: Fulland of Water and Light and Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact, which were announced during an event at Tokyo Dome in January. Neither has announced platforms or release dates, but we’re likely to hear more about them in the coming months.
