Jacque Vaughn on what Lonnie Walker has shown this season:

Jacque Vaughn said Ben Simmons remains on a minutes restriction tonight:
“I don’t have a timetable of when that will be lifted. There will be a progression of minutes added on to it before it’s completely lifted. That’s just going to be how he responds from game to game.” – 5:05 PM

Jacque Vaughn said Day’Ron Sharpe has not yet done on-court work with multiple bodies around him:
“The scope of his court work is still no extra bodies around him. He was able to bang with one of our coaches a little bit, so that he has progressed to, but nothing beyond that.” – 5:03 PM

Jacque Vaughn said the Nets do not expect Ben Simmons’ knee injury to linger:
“That is not at all something that’s gonna linger. It’s something that just acutely happened in the game. With a couple days of treatment, it responded. Hopefully, we continue down a path of playing.” – 4:58 PM

I think allowing Joel Embiid to suit up vs. Golden State was a mistake. But those happen. He was dealing with some real issue before dropping 70 vs. spurs. I get it. To me the real failure was not seeing how bad he looked and pulling him early to avoid any more damage. – 1:47 PM

Re: Joel Embiid: We now know the specifics regarding his meniscus tear. A flap tear is a specific (and unfortunately complex) type of tear that is most commonly treated with a partial menisectomy. I’ve heard it compared to a hang nail or a door jam. – 1:42 PM

The Sixers could hire me and two of my buddies to sit behind the bench and just heckle the med and coaching staff (and maybe PatBev) when we think Embiid should be sat to protect himself. Wonder what that woulda been worth to them a few days ago? – 1:39 PM

Think I displaced a few flaps watching Embiid be allowed to continue playing after clearly hobbling around for 1 quarter of that warriors game. Mulling lobotomy – 1:24 PM

If Joel Embiid is out for a significant period of time, these Sixers must step up in his absence. Beginning, of course, with newly minted All-Star Tyrese Maxey.
