San Francisco 49ers veteran tight end George Kittle, fresh off an offseason extension worth $76 million, doesn’t shy away from bold statements on any topic.
During his appearance on the ‘Bussin with the Boys’ podcast with Taylor Lewan and Will Compton, the seasoned 49ers star shared how Vasper machines—a kind of recovery bike that restricts lower body blood flow—have become an integral part of his training.
“I do it a little bit during OTAs, but as soon as I get back in the summer, it’s like my cardio every day at the end of my workout,” Kittle revealed about his regimen. “I’ll go lift, run my routes, run hills, and then I’ll do a 20-minute Vasper session, four days a week. I love it.”
Apart from aiding his fitness routine, Kittle praised the machine for its sleep-inducing effects: “It also knocks you the f— out at night, unconscious. You sleep so well, and you have wild dreams, too. It’s awesome …[But] the main selling point is you blow huge loads,” he candidly expressed.
“That’s how it was sold to players. It was like, ‘Look, it boosts your testosterone, you sleep really well, you’re going to feel great… and you also blow huge loads.”
The seasoned 49ers icon opened up on a variety of topics during his appearance on the show. He playfully hinted at a possible WWE stint, advocated for ex-teammate Kyle Juszczyk’s Hall of Fame induction, and shared his personal benchmark for retirement from the NFL.
“I don’t know, I think if I get to 35 and it hurts to put pants on in the morning, I think I’ll be like, ‘Ah, this isn’t that much fun anymore,’ and I’ll have a conversation with myself,” he mused. “But I’m feeling great right now.”
Kittle is riding high off a Second-team All-Pro season, boasting stats of 78 receptions, 1,106 yards, and eight touchdowns, which led to a lucrative four-year, $76.4 million offseason extension, securing $40 million guaranteed.
He’s not alone in signing fresh contracts; teammates Brock Purdy and Fred Warner also committed to new extensions with the 49ers following a disappointing 2024 season that saw the team end with a 6-11 record—their lowest winning percentage since 2018.

In response to last year’s performance, the 49ers made significant roster moves, including trading Pro Bowl receiver Deebo Samuel to the Washington Commanders and acquiring edge-rusher Bryce Huff from the Philadelphia Eagles.
Looking ahead, Kittle and the 49ers are set to kick off the 2025 season with an away game against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, September 7.
