Nintendo Indie World Showcase Set to Air Tomorrow, Nintendo Announces

Nintendo has announced a new Indie World showcase for this month, promising new info about indie games heading to the Switch this year.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Nintendo says the presentation will air tomorrow at 7am Pacific (which is around 10am Eastern and 3pm GMT) and will feature “roughly 20 minutes” of information.

The showcase will focus on “indie games headed to Nintendo Switch in 2024”, and you’ll be able to watch it live via Nintendo’s official YouTube channel, as has been the case for previous Indie World showcases.

Come on, Nintendo (and Team Cherry). It’s time to step up and be a hero.

Every time a new Nintendo Indie World showcase rolls around, the Hollow Knight: Silksong buzz starts up again, but this time, there’s reason to believe it might actually be featured.

Yesterday, gaming personality Wario64 noted that Hollow Knight: Silksong has been rated in Australia, receiving a PG for “mild violence”.

The game was also rated in South Korea earlier this year, and a Microsoft Store listing for Silksong appeared in early April. Of course, all of these things don’t constitute conclusive evidence, but they could well point to something big coming for Team Cherry’s long-awaited Metroidvania.

World of Goo 2 might get shown during tomorrow’s Indie World showcase.

Believe it or not, though, there are other indie games lined up for the Switch this year, so what else could get a look-in during tomorrow’s Indie World showcase?

For one thing, we could see more from 2D Boy and The Tomorrow Corporation’s World of Goo 2, which hits the Switch in May. It’s already got a release date, but sometimes Indie World just likes to show off the Switch’s precocious indie children, and I’m here for it.

A few days ago, it was announced that open-world exploration game Tchia will also come to Switch in June, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we heard something about that as well.

Of course, this is all speculation; any of these games could appear, or none of them could, including Silksong. We’ll have all the announcements for you tomorrow, so make sure to check back then!
