- Live From The Blue Seats will get going again this week.
- In this week’s Patreon post (subscribe here!), Dave talked Rangers unsung heroes as they remain in first place despite a number of injuries to key players.
- The big news of the week was the Rangers recalling Brennan Othmann after Tyler Pitlick’s injury. He’s been on the 3rd/4th line (however you want to read into that) thus far, but long term will be a top-six player.
- On the injury front, Filip Chytil is not progressing as fast as he or the team had liked, and it’s likely he’s done for the regular season. But on the bright side, Kaapo Kakko looks close to a return.
- There have been some concerns about Braden Schneider, but he’s progressing just fine.
- Team USA won gold at the 2024 World Juniors, beating Latvia, Finland, and Sweden to secure gold.
- The Hartford Wolf Pack took a trip down memory lane, signing Artem Anisimov to a PTO.
- Speaking memory lane, JL reminded us of former Rangers Patrick Flately, Fedor Fedorov, Erik Reitz, Emerson Etem, Bobby Sanguinetti, and Viktor Stalberg.
- JL also reminded us about that 7-0 drubbing the Rangers handed down on the Nashville Predators last season.
- Igor Shesterkin is a 2024 All Star, notably after Artemi Panarin declined.
