The banged up Rangers, fresh off their 5-in-7, now face perhaps their toughest stretch in terms of quality opponents beginning with the visiting Winnipeg Jets. Winnipeg is a bit of an overlooked team since they are, you know, in Winnipeg. Currently in 1st in the Central, they have 91 points and have allowed just 158 goals against this season, tops in the NHL.
The Jets have a balanced attack up and down the lineup with skill and speed throughout. Their blue line is solid and they still have Connor Hellebuyck in net. They are a very good team.
The Rangers added a struggling Ryan Lindgren to the injury list with Jacob Trouba, meaning Chad Ruhwedel will make his Rangers debut tonight. The lines remain unchanged aside from Ruhwedel, meaning Matt Rempe will be a healthy scratch tonight.
