The Rangers no longer control their own destiny. Even if they win out they still might not catch Montreal, who has a 6 point cushion with one additional game played. The tragic number for the Rangers is now at 7, and any combination of points won by Montreal or lost by the Rangers lowers the number. Given how the Rangers have played and Montreal’s schedule, that number could be 3 by the end of tomorrow’s games.
This team disgusts me. I don’t mind losing, it’s part of the game. But quitting? That’s inexcusable. I’m watching for Sam, and Sam only. We only have six games remaining. Enjoy it while we can.
