The Rangers are back in action today at MSG, looking to get some revenge on an Islanders team that put a pretty sizable road block between the Rangers and clinching the division. With Carolina surging, the Rangers need to win their last two games to hold them off. If they miss just one point, they leave the door open for Carolina to steal the division, conference, home ice, and more.
Peter Laviolette has at least seen enough of the Miller-Trouba pairing to break them up, which bodes well for a more balanced defense. Matt Rempe draws in, and while there are hopes of retribution on the Noah Dobson hit, it would be nice to see Rempe actually play a full game.
