Over 1.2 million spectators attended Elite Ice Hockey League games during the 202425 season – the highest ever in the league’s 22-year history!
In total, 1,247,972 fans came through the doors of arenas during the season, making an average of 3,660 per game – also the highest in the league’s history.
Seven of the EIHL’s 10 teams increased their attendances compared to the previous season, while seven of 10 posted average crowds of over 2,000 fans every home game. Nine teams recorded sell-outs during the season, many on multiple occasions.
Sheffield Steelers ended with the highest average attendance, welcoming an average of 7,978 fans across league games. Their crowd of 9,638 on Boxing Day against Nottingham Panthers was the highest recorded this season; the reverse fixture in Nottingham saw 6,924 fans attending. Belfast Giants had the next highest attendance after the Steelers with 7,280 fans seeing them beat Cardiff Devils on 22 February.
Season tickets are already on sale for 2025/26. Last season, several teams had to pause selling season-long passes after huge demand saw their threshold met before the deadline had passed.
