While it’s had many mobile spinoffs to its name, one of the few things that we haven’t seen from the hit MMORPG franchise Ragnarok Online is anything approaching a proper mobile adaptation. Sure, there were rumblings about Ragnarok Mobile a while back, but now the most promising successor could be here with Ragnarok V: Returns.
Ragnarok V: Returns has been floating in and out of soft launch in some regions, however, we’ve now spotted some proper app store listings for both iOS and Android that could indicate an upcoming wide-scale release. If so, it’d be one of the closest adaptations of the original MMORPG we’ve had for the series, if not an exact port.
Ragnarok V: Returns offers many of the same mechanics as the original Ragnarok Online. Albeit you’ll be exploring a fully 3D world, with six classes (Swordman, Mage, Thief etc.) to pick from as you customise your character. You’ll also be able to command a variety of mercenaries and pets to bolster your ranks.

It seems as if Ragnarok V: Returns will drop on March 19th, which is only a few weeks away. Feedback seems to have been fairly positive and I’ve no doubt there are those of you who got the chance to try Ragnarok Mobile who are chomping at the bit for more!
But in the meantime, you can always tide yourself over with some of the other mobile adaptations the series has had. Although Poring Rush may be a little more casual than you hardcore MMORPG folks out there are used to!
