Report: IU basketball contacts Idaho State transfer guard Dylan Darling – Inside the Hall

According to a report published Saturday morning, Indiana is among the schools in contact with Idaho State transfer guard Dylan Darling.

The report was published by Jamie Shaw of On3.com.

Darling was named the most valuable player of the Big Sky Conference for the 2024-25 season.

The 6-foot-2 guard began his career at Washington State, where he played for two seasons, before transferring to Idaho State.

The 2024-25 season was Darling’s breakout campaign, as he averaged 19.8 points, 5.7 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 34.3 minutes per game.

He shot 44.1 percent from the field, 35.6 percent on 3s and 81 percent from the free-throw line. He also led the Bengals with 1.7 steals per game.

The lefty is a native of Spokane, Washington and was considered a three-star prospect out of high school in the 2022 class.

Darling initially announced that he would return to Idaho State before entering the transfer portal on April 7.

Idaho State finished last season 15-15 and 10-8 in the Big Sky. Darling had three games with 30 or more points, including 34 points in an 82-79 loss to Northern Arizona on March 3.

He has two seasons of eligibility remaining, as he appeared in just three games at Washington State in the 2023-24 season.
