After visits to Bloomington and Lexington, Sam Houston transfer Lamar Wilkerson is reportedly down to Indiana and Kentucky.
Multiple reports published Monday evening say Wilkerson will choose between the Hoosiers and Wildcats. Wilkerson had initially planned to visit Auburn and Ole Miss, but those visits are no longer happening, per multiple reports.
The Ashdown, Arkansas native has one season of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Wilkerson played the last three seasons at Sam Houston and began his career at Three Rivers College.
In 32 games last season for the Bearkats – all starts – and averaged 20.5 points, four rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 steals in 34.9 minutes per game. He shot 44.5 percent on 3s and made 3.4 3-pointers per game. He also shot 82.2 percent from the free-throw line.
Wilkerson ranked seventh nationally in 3-point field goal percentage and 13th in made 3-point field goals (109). He is a career 40 percent 3-point shooter. He was named first-team All-Conference USA last season.
