Tip #1 – Focus on upgrading your Tavern and Research Lab
The first step to progressing faster and getting more power is the Tavern. This is what increases your basic stats, such as ATK, DEF and HP, so you need to max them as soon as you can. The Research Lab is the second most important feature, which is where you will upgrade your Crit Chance, Crit Resistance, Crit Damage, and Crit Defense.
Tavern
You can upgrade your Tavern using Gold, and the more you upgrade it, the more expensive it will be. At later Tavern designs, the upgrades will require even more investment, having multiple “stars”, which you will need to complete to finalise the upgrade.
Research Lab
The Research Lab is similar to the Tavern (in a way), but it is very much different. It does give you additional stats, but to upgrade it, you will need to get lab samples. Each Lab upgrade can go up to level 20, but the success rate of an upgrade goes down, and the cost goes up. Quite tricky, I would say.
I recommend upgrading the Crit Chance and Crit Damage first and then following up with the Crit Resistance and Crit Defense.
How to get more samples?
You can get more samples from the Lab Sample Dungeon, and every day you will have 3 free tries. You can get 3 more by watching an advertisement, so if you want to facilitate your powering up, I recommend you watch these ads and get those extra samples.
If you cannot farm a higher level, then just auto-clear the next best level you can, and try for a higher level once you’ve done some more upgrades.

Tip #2 – Make the most out of your Draw Power

Draw Power or energy is the resource used to draw various effects: Hero Summon Tickets, EXP, Gold, etc. You need a lot of resources, so that’s where energy comes into play. I recommend you always use multipliers (1x, 3x, 5x, 10x) to multiply the results so you won’t have to draw the cards one by one when you have 300+ energy.
The energy multipliers can give you a significant boost to the rewards. For instance, if you were to get 3 matching Hero Summon Tickets and you used the 10x, you would be rewarded 100 Hero Summon Tickets. That can be a huge boost – not to mention the EXP you can get. That’s how I managed to max Ban in just a few hours of gameplay (he’s my first level 50 hero).
How to get more Draw Power/energy?
You can get more energy over time, or you can wait for the daily resets. You can also get more from quests, so that’s another thing to keep in mind: always do your quests.

Tip #3 – Quests give you lots of resources

The quests are repetitive, but they are useful. You can sometimes anticipate what a quest will require, so I recommend you be prepared for it. For instance, you should not use all of your Draw Power since the quest will require you to draw 3 times. Even though the quests don’t give you a lot of resources, sometimes even 1 can turn out to be useful. Take the Sacred Treasure, for instance – if you happen to get a good quality one with 1 draw, that’s huge.
You should also focus on the other quests, such as the new player-exclusive 7-Day Relay Missions, which are given to all the new players. Every day you play, the game will start with new quests. You should try completing these quests as quickly as you can because the last reward is a Legendary hero, and if you’re lucky, you can get one of the top-tier heroes.

Tip #4 – Let’s talk about Hero Summon

Hero Summon is the gacha where you can obtain various heroes. You should do as many summons as possible because that’s the only way to obtain new and better heroes – which is also why there is no point in rerolling. The rates for each level are as follows:
- Level 1: Normal 69.7%, Rare 20%, Epic 10%, Unique 0.25%, Legendary 0.001%
- Level 2: Normal 67.495%, Rare 21%, Epic 11%, Unique 0.5%, Legendary 0.005%
- Level 3: Normal 64.98%, Rare 22%, Epic 12%, Unique 1%, Legendary 0.02%
- Level 4: Normal 61.95%, Rare 23%, Epic 13%, Unique 2%, Legendary 0.05%
- Level 5: Normal 58.9%, Rare 24%, Epic 14%, Unique 3%, Legendary 0.1%
- Level 6: Normal 55.89%, Rare 25%, Epic 15%, Unique 4%, Legendary 0.11%
- Level 7: Normal 52.88%, Rare 26%, Epic 16%, Unique 5%, Legendary 0.12%
- Level 8: Normal 49.87%, Rare 27%, Epic 17%, Unique 6%, Legendary 0.13%
- Level 9: Normal 46.86%, Rare 28%, Epic 18%, Unique 7%, Legendary 0.14%
- Level 10: Normal 43.85%, Rare 29%, Epic 19%, Unique 8%, Legendary 0.15%
Use Diamonds for summons
Don’t shy away from using Diamonds to summon 30x. It costs only 300 Diamonds, and it can help you progress a lot faster. Ideally, you want to reach at least level 5, and then level 6, so you have a higher chance of pulling Legendary heroes.
You will get plenty of Diamonds from the Codex, whenever you upgrade or level up a hero, and also from the codes and quests. Make sure you use them here until you get at least level 5 summon level to have some real chances of pulling a Legendary. If you want, you can also rush it to level 6, for even higher chances.

Tip #5 – Upgrade your heroes and deploy strong ones

In the early game, you will not have a lot of Legendary heroes upgraded, and that’s okay. Just focus on a few Unique ones that are good, and upgrade them as much as you can so you can progress steadily. Once you have unlocked a few Legendaries (preferably awakened), then reset the Unique ones and focus on the Legendary ones.
A strong team is key for progressing through the game, and the Ultimate order is too. Try to find the best one possible for your current team. As a rule of thumb, you want your supporters to cast their Ultimates first, so they can buff the team. Then, you can follow up with your damage dealers and Tanks – however you see fit.
Just make sure you are not using supports that have no synergy with the rest of your team. You shouldn’t use heroes that buff DEX heroes when you only have STR heroes, because then it’s a wasted party slot.

Tip #6 – Sacred Treasures boost your power

You cannot equip your heroes with various gear, but you can get Sacred Treasures. These are pieces of equipment that are universally used by your team, granting them increased stats. There are different Secret Treasures, and the system for acquiring new ones works in the same way as the Hero Summon.
You will summon one Sacred Treasure at a time, and then decide if you want to swap your existing one for the newly summoned one. Early on, it is not that important until you unlock at least the Unique ones – these will be a lot better, and before you swap them out for the ones that boost your power the most, try reading their effects and deciding which ones are worth keeping.
Having high power is good, but having better overall stats (depending on what enemy you’re facing) is even better. Make sure you also watch an ad to get additional Sacred Treasure summoning chances every day, because it will be worth it. The sooner you level up the Sacred Treasure summoning, the better.

Tip #7 – Other useful tips and tricks for 7DS Idle

The game has a lot of features, but to keep things short and sweet, here is a short list of other Seven Deadly Sins Idle tips and tricks you could find useful:
- Having a balanced team is the most important aspect: A well-rounded team includes damage dealers, healers, and supports that can buff or debuff enemies or your team.
- Hero synergies are the key to putting together a good team. Some characters can significantly boost the performance of others – for example, Grizzly Sin of Sloth King can buff DEX heroes, and Sky Temple Protector Ellatte can buff STR heroes.
- There are different game modes that can require different team compositions. You will not be able to use one team to clear all content in the late game, so focus on the top-tier heroes for each trait, and adjust your team as needed.
- Once you clear Stage 300, you will unlock Potential – this will give your awakened heroes additional stats, which is why early on, having Unique heroes instead of Legendary ones is better. They can be awakened a lot easier.
- The maximum number of heroes you can have on your team is 8 heroes. You can increase the number of deployed heroes by levelling up and upgrading your Tavern. It will take a while, but it is important if you want to get stronger.
- You can have Tavern Revenue from being idle for up to 13 hours. I recommend logging in twice a day to claim this, so you can continuously produce Gold and EXP.
- Server reset time (and daily rewards reset) is at 4 pm BST. Make sure you complete your daily stuff before the server has been reset, and also log in daily to claim rewards.
- There are a total of 20 Tavern Themes, and the more you upgrade them, the better your idle income. They will also look better, but that’s just a bonus!
