With Panthers up 2-1 after one, Shams says there will be “robust” market for Durant, with 4 to 6 teams interested and talks soon to pick up… So any hope of Heat getting him for very little seems improbable, though Duncan Robinson’s contract could save Suns a ton financially. – 9:09 PM

In trade example where Spurs sent Vassell, Barnes, & 14th pick as center pieces for Durant, San Antonio would be $12.2 million over the cap.
This means the Spurs would still have access to the $14.1 mil NTMLE and $5.1 mil BAE to sign free agents

My feeling on KD and the Rockets:
If you can get him for Jalen Green and No. 10, do it. I don’t think Green is a part of their future anymore and they don’t have minutes for a rookie anyway.
But the future Suns picks, Amen, Sengun, Jabari, Tari and Reed are all off limits. – 1:12 PM

More on this storyline

Radio Talk Show host on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM in Phoenix John Gambadoro went on air to talk about some teams that could be interested in Durant, with a sleeper team now in the mix. “The one team that I think there will be communication [with]…this may be the Suns reaching out to them or them reaching out to the Suns or just mutual interest…is the Clippers,” Gambadoro said. He continued to say, “We’ve never talked about the Clippers before but they got [Ivica] Zubac, they got [Kris] Dunn, they got [Norman] Powell, they got Derrick Jones [Jr.]. I’ll have to look at what their draft capital is but the Clippers are a team that I heard.” -via Sports Illustrated / June 5, 2025
John Gambadoro:This is so beyond untrue it’s laughable. The Suns haven’t spoken to the Rockets since February – not once! They’ve been focused on hiring a GM and a coach. Now with those hires done they can and will turn their attention to moving Durant. -via x.com / June 5, 2025
Arizona Sports John Gambadoro reported that there is some interest from Durant’s side in joining the Spurs, citing sources close to the situation. Gambadoro suggested the veteran forward sees the Spurs as a team on the rise, saying Durant views San Antonio featuring De’Aaron Fox, Victor Wembanyama, and rookie guard Stephon Castle as an appealing destination.” -via BasketNews / June 5, 2025
