The Pacers are back in the NBA playoffs since 2000 after a 125-108 win in Game 6. Indiana made 16-of-31 three-pointers and completely dominated New York in transition. Eastern Conference Finals MVP Pascal Siakam scored 31 points and Tyrese Haliburton added 21 points and 13 assists, while Obi Toppin and Thomas Bryant combined for 29 points off the bench.
OG Anunoby led the Knicks with 24 points, Karl-Anthony Towns had 22 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, and Jalen Brunson looked tired and finished with 19 points.
Here’s how NBA Twitter reacted to the Pacers victory:

If Pascal Siakam helps win the Pacers their first championship after doing the same with the Raptors, he will officially have a Hall of Fame resume.
Siakam, one of the most underrated star players, has consistently shown he’s an All-Star playoff riser in the biggest moments. pic.twitter.com/36n080spDD

No Indiana player received MVP votes this season.
The last time a team made the Finals without any MVP vote was 2010 (Boston).
The last time a team won the title without any MVP vote was 1978 (Washington). pic.twitter.com/8LhOTA1nX3

The gap in regular season point differential between OKC and Indiana (10.63) is the largest in the NBA Finals since Milwaukee-Baltimore in 1971.
No NBA team has overcome a point differential bigger than 4.94 in a championship series.

One thing that I think would keep me up at night if I was a Knicks fan is thinking what woulda happened if that Haliburton shot at the buzzer in game 1 didn’t bounce 100 feet off the back iron straight up into the air and drop back into the hoop. It’s like God hates the Knicks

Trading KAT should be priority #1 for the Knicks.

Knicks using up all those draft picks for Bridges makes them longshots for Giannis. But they have to try like hell with a trade package built around KAT.
This was a very painful missed opportunity. Championship drought now officially at 52 years and counting.

The New York Knicks lost Game 6 because their two superstars Jalen Brunson and Karl Anthony-Towns didn’t play well. They also didn’t control the pace of game.

Man let me role up this Knicks pack then lay it down 😂😂😂

Love that the NBA Finals are between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Indiana Pacers. Two young and hungry teams. Yes there’s no LeBron, Steph, KD, Embiid, Luka, Joker or Giannis. But we got SGA, Jalen Williams, Chet, What the Helly, and Siakam. Let’s celebrate their rise. 🫡

FWIW: The two losers of the NBA Cup finals in the actual NBA Finals.
