The Timberwolves are in the Western Conference Finals for a second straight season after a convincing 121-110 win in Game 5. With Stephen Curry out again, the Warriors couldn’t find an answer to Anthony Edwards, who finished with 22 points and 12 assists. Julius Randle scored 29 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished out five assists.
Brandin Podziemski led Golden State with 28 points, and Jonathan Kuminga scored 26 points off the bench, while Jimmy Butler had a quiet night with just 17 points.
Here’s how NBA Twitter reacted to the Wolves victory.

W/ no Stephen curry, this gotta be a pretty disappointing Jimmy butler series from the warriors side of things being that u just extended him.
IMO this is who he’s been for most of this yr so I can’t go the injury route. Winning wasn’t expected but individually he wasn’t close.

Just watching the growth of Ant Edwards right now is amazing thing to see! Just giving his teammates confidence and making them better. Best young leader in the game.

Jonathan Kuminga made some money back during that Wolves series.
My contention has been that he’s the better version of Kelly Oubre: someone who is much better on a normal team than he is within the context of the Steph Warriors.

Podziemski with 28 points. He could’ve been better, but he gave the Warriors A LOT more than many other guys in this series.
He infuriates a large segment of GSW Fandom for some reason, but Podziemski does stuff. Doesn’t always shoot well, but he does stuff.

Wolves in 5, it is.
Forever and ever, “typical Timberwolves” was used as a pejorative to imply dysfunction and losing.
Now they’re in back-to-back WCFs for the first time in franchise history.
Now “typical Timberwolves” has a new meaning: contenders.

Hate that what likely would have been a great Wolves/Warriors series got ruined by the Steph injury. Happy for Ant and co, but wanted to see a good series
