The Timberwolves are now up 2-1 in the series against the Lakers after a 116-104 win, despite a monster game by LeBron James, who scored 38 points. Anthony Edwards was close to a triple-double with 29 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists, and Jaden McDaniels added 30 points and five rebounds while Julius Randle was again dominant with 22 points, five rebounds and four assists.
Luka Doncic, not feeling well after vomiting throughout the day before the game, had only 17 points. After he tied the game at 103 with 4:37 left, the Lakers could only score one more point as Minnesota protected its home court.

Anthony Edwards has leveled up from last postseason. That much is clear.
Julius Randle…what a revelation. Making big play after big play.
So many frontcourt combos, so many versatile defenders, so many supporting players that can go off. The Timberwolves are a true threat.

Lakers in 5 did not account for Fluka Doncic. Lakers in 7 we move.

It’s not just that the Timberwolves won this game. It’s HOW they winning it. In clutch time, with haymakers from Reid, Edwards and McDaniels. Facing down an incredible performance from LeBron. Wow.
