As the Lakers enter March, coming off a month in which they won nine games against just three losses, it’s probably time to make some firm proclamations about who this team is and what it can be. “Obviously I’m not necessarily the best analyst of everything that’s going on. I’ve only been here for a couple weeks,” Spencer Dinwiddie said Thursday. “But, you know, it’s pretty evident that we have the talent level to beat anybody any night.”

Third quarter: Lakers 99, Wizards 95
AD is dominating with 34 points, 11 rebounds and 2 blocks. He was exhausted by the end of that quarter — he’s carrying a heavy load on both sides of the ball. LeBron James has 19 points. DLo has 15 points. Spencer Dinwiddie has 10. – 12:19 AM

Anthony Davis is getting lots of touches against the small Wizards, and is paying them off, with 22 points already on 6 of 9 FG’s and 10 of 11 FT’s.
LAL, trailing by as many as 9, finally tied the game at 65 on a Dinwiddie 3 late in the 2nd Q. – 11:33 PM

The Lakers are down 27-21 with 2:53 remaining in the first quarter. A disappointing start even with it being the second night of a back-to-back. The Wizards are on a 9-2 run over the past two minutes since Taurean Prince and Spencer Dinwiddie checked in. – 11:00 PM

Dinwiddie has rubbed his right shoulder a few times in the last handful of possessions. Hoping it’s not bothering him. AK – 11:13 PM

The second unit is small in this first game with Cam Reddish back: Dinwiddie, Reaves, Reddish, Prince and Davis.
Hachimura and LeBron both went to the bench earlier, with Jaxson Hayes and Max Christie (LAL’s best bench rebounders) yet to appear. – 10:35 PM

More on this storyline
Mike Trudell: Spencer Dinwiddie: “I’ve realized that being a Laker, everybody is going to give you their best shot … It’s a show. There are times on other teams where home games feel like road games. Here, every game is meaningful and intense. That’s what makes it fun.” -via Twitter @LakersReporter / March 1, 2024
Mike Trudell: One of Spencer Dinwiddie’s first observations about being a Laker: “Everybody makes the game so easy – especially AD on the defensive end, he covers up everything, it’s amazing.” Anthony Davis had 6 blocks in Dinwiddie’s debut. -via Twitter @LakersReporter / February 14, 2024
“Again, I’ve said this a ton, LeBron has the greatest career of all-time,” Dinwiddie said after his debut game. “So to be able to be around somebody like that, learn from somebody like that see how he goes about his day, his routine, his recovery on top of the special things he does on the floor, it’s big time to be able to learn from somebody who has, probably, 40,000 points.” -via TalkBasket / February 14, 2024
