“That’s Just A B****!” Floyd Schofield Rips Shakur Stevenson’s “Jealous” Reaction After Brutal KO!

Floyd Schofield called out Shakur Stevenson last night following his first-round knockout win over former IBF super featherweight champion Tevin Farmer at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Shakur’s “Jealous” Reaction to Schofield Win

Schofield (19-0, 13 KOs) didn’t like Shakur’s reaction that he posted on X to his victory over Famer (33-9-1, 8 KOs) in which he was dismissive about the win, saying, “Don’t get hyped too much [from] Tev being irresponsible.”

He came across as jealous about Floyd’s win and the amount of attention he got from fans. Stevenson’s fights don’t end with knockouts. They go the distance, and the fans often boo him due to his non-engaging running style.

“Man, come on, Tev, you gotta know he was gone. Come out fast,” said Shakur Stevenson in a now-deleted post on X, reacting to Floyd Schofield’s first-round knockout of Tevin Farmer. “Any fighter dangerous in the first round, especially these lil kids…. Don’t get hyped too [much] off Tev being irresponsible!”

As you can see here, Stevenson wasn’t too happy about the results of Schofield’s annihilation of old G, Tevin Farmer. The Newark, New Jersey native, Shakur, had to foresee the amount of pressure that would be put on him from the results of this fight. He wants no part of the young knockout artist Schofield. The one-punch power and the lightning-quick hand speed that the 22-year-old Schofield showed would be risky for Kur to deal with.

Schofield KOs Farmer, Calls Out Shakur

“He came to fight, but the better man won that night. I want to see what’s next,” said Schofield to Fighthype after his win over Farmer. “Oscar [De La Hoya] said, ‘Hopefully, the winner between Shakur and Zepeda.’ May the best man win. Yeah, I want to go visit my roots,” said Floyd when asked if he wants to be at the Stevenson-Zepeda fight.

Golden Boy promoter De La Hoya won’t have much luck in making a fight between Schofield and Shakur Stevenson without Matchroom and Turki Alalshikh showing interest in making it happen. They won’t. The man they want is Gervonta Davis, and it doesn’t matter that he could lose his rematch with Lamont Roach on August 16th.

Tank Davis’ popularity would still be high enough for Shakur’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, to go in that direction for him rather than putting him with a knockout artist like Schofield.

“No, that’s wack [confronting Shakur in the ring]. If you know I want to fight you, let’s fight. But I don’t need to go get in your face after your victory to say I want to fight you. Yeah, you know how I look at it? That’s just a b****, though,” said Schofield when asked about Shakur’s post reacting to his win over Farmer.

There is NO chance that Schofield would be allowed to enter the ring to call out Shakur if he’s victorious against William Zepeda on July 12th at the Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York. Stevenson’s promoters at Matchroom wouldn’t give the green light for Floyd to enter the ring because their boss, Eddie Hearn, is hoping to set up a mega-money fight with Gervonta Davis next. It’s all about business.

Floyd Blasts Stevenson Over X Post

“I don’t care about his opinion. I got my victory. Hopefully, he [Stevenson] gets his victory in July, and we’ll see what happens. Don’t crap on my performance because I guarantee you, his fight isn’t going to end like mine. That’s Shakur. He had his feelings,” said Schofield.

Even if Shakur can’t get the fight that he wants after Zepeda against Tank Davis, he won’t turn his attention to fighting a lethal puncher like Schofield or any of the talented contenders in the lightweight division. A predictable fight for Shakur would be against Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz, Devin Haney, or Ryan Garcia.

The Untouchable List: Fighters Shakur Avoids

Hearn and Stevenson will be focused on money against safe opponents with little chance of beating him with the amateur, point-scoring hit-and-don’t-get-hit style he uses in his fights. Schofield would be one of this untouchable list of fighters that Shakur won’t fight:

  1. Andy Cruz
  2. Floyd Schofield
  3. Raymond Muratalla
  4. Abdullah Mason
  5. Jadier Herrera
