The Daily Grind: How late at night do you play your MMOs?

In the long long ago, when I got out of college, I was playing MMORPGs via dial-up connection. This would be less weird if it had not been, like, 2004. This meant that my MMO time was limited to after everyone was pretty sure phone calls were not happening, so I just got in the habit of making MMO time the last thing I did on a given day. If I wanted to play other games, I did that earlier. Thus, MMOs tend to be the last thing I do gaming-wise before sleepy time.

Like many things, this feels like a universal truth when it isn’t. I know other people who like to log in, do their daily things, and then log out and play other games for a while. Some people even just have an early morning routine. So how late do you play your MMOs? Are they your last game of the night, or are they more of an early diversion?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
