The Warriors have to find a way to start better

NORTH ANDOVER — When it comes to wins at the end of the season, they don’t ask “how” … they ask “how many.”

Merrimack survived a scare from Stonehill on Sunday for a 3-2 win against the winless Skyhawks.

Below are my takeaways from Friday’s game, including thoughts on:

  • Merrimack’s first-period struggles have yet to be eradicated entirely.

  • You earn your bounces.

  • Merrimack could take a lesson from how Stonehill played, given that much stiffer competition is on the horizon.

  • Ty Daneault has been Merrimack’s best player since Thanksgiving.

  • Zachary Borgiel was excellent, especially given the game flow.

Plus, a lot more.
