Tonight’s Live Boxing Results: Benn Vs. Dobson

Conor Benn will fight American Peter Dobson tonight in a twelve-round fight in the junior middleweight division at Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The event will be shown live on DAZN at 3:00 p.m. ET/ 12:00 p.m. PT and at 8 pm if you’re on UK turf.

Benn (22-0, 14 KOs) has a lot to prove to his critics, who doubt his ability and feel that he shouldn’t even be fighting at this point.

Undercard

Austin Williams vs. Armel Mbumba-Yassa
Khalil Coe vs. Juan Gerardo Osuna
Johnny Fisher vs. Dmytro Bezus
George Liddard vs. Andrew Buchanan
Jimmy Sains vs. Alejandro Avalos

“I’ve been calling the name, and you’ve seen me calling the name. So, Jaron, no problem,” said Conor Benn to Boxing Social when asked if he’d be up for a fight against IBF welterweight champion Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis.

“He’s a great fighter, talented and extremely gifted. I feel ready for that fight.”

Can Benn Rise Above the Doubts?

Dobson (16-0, 9 KOs) isn’t the ideal match-up for the 27-year-old Benn to show the boxing public that he’s for real because he’s been given a soft touch by his promoter, Eddie Hearn, who isn’t taking any chances with him before he battles some of the well-known British fighters that he’s lining up for him.

Benn will need to take charge of his career if he wants to show the fans that he’s the real thing because Hearn is likely to focus on local domestic fights against Chris Eubank Jr., Kell Brook, and Liam Smith to bring in money without taking any risks.
