- Warframe: 1999’s Techrot Encore update is on its way
- Releasing March 19th, it features four new Protoframes and the 60th Warframe, Temple
- There’s also new endgame stages and a special new minigame
With its turn-of-the-millennium setting and series-standard action, the 1999 expansion for Warframe has certainly had fans intrigued. And now the upcoming Techrot Encore, which sees the return of ARG band … as boss battles, has a release date for March 19th and a bit more besides!
Yes, four new additions to the protoframe family come with Techrot Encore as characters Flare, Minerva, Kaya and Velimir II join the battle. Not only that but the 60th Warframe, Temple, joins the revolution with Techrot Subwoofer minions and a sapient guitar called Lizzie to really bring down the house.
And if you think that this still isn’t enough, there are also two new endgame stages for experienced Warframe veterans to take on. Stage Defense sees you defending Scaldra as they put on a memorial show for comrades lost in Scaldra’s overtaking of the city; meanwhile, Temporal Archimedea sees you team up with Minerva and Velimir II to take on three random missions back to back, using the Peely Pix system to mix up your modifiers each time.

Finally, there’s one of the most significant and heartwarming additions as Digital Extreme honours the Make-A-Wish commitment from James Conlin with the new Atomicycle racing mini-game at the Höllvania Mall Hub arcade collection, Ollie’s Crash Course.
All this and more, including the buildup to Tennocon 2025 and the relaunch of a new open beta for the upgraded Warframe Companion App ensures that there are plenty of reasons to be excited to be a Warframe fan this March!
