Warlord Games is selling a Sergeant Sawyer miniature for a good cause. The tabletop miniatures company known for producing beloved wargames is selling this miniature, based on their co-founder, in order to support brain tumor research.
The Sergeant Sawyer Miniature Sale
According to the official store page, the Sergeant Sawyer miniature is based on Warlord Games’ co-founder Paul Sawyer. The miniature is equipped with a light machine gun, a red beret and a hearty salute. He stands ready to lead the British Airborne on their next daring mission, ready to dispense advice and hot lead as needed.
The page explains that Paul Sawyer was the co-founder of Warlord Games. He has recently stepped away from the company due to a serious illness. The miniature’s British Airborne origin is in honor of Sawyer’s fondness for painting Red Devils The miniature is unpainted metal with a 25 mm round plastic base.
Sergeant Sawyer is our tribute to a man without whom Warlord Games would simply not exist, and our lives be far the poorer. Proudly bearing Paul’s smiling face, Sergeant Sawyer is an essential figure for every collection.
All proceeds from the sale of the Sergeant Sawyer miniature will go towards the Brain Tumour Charity. This charity, chosen by Sawyer himself, is the world’s leading brain tumor charity and the largest dedicated funder of brain tumor research globally.
Warlord Games is a UK-based tabletop studio dedicated to wargaming. The most popular game in their library is Bolt Action, a miniatures game dedicated to World War II. The most recent edition of which is according to our review, an “inviting entry point into the hobby.”
