The Washington Capitals and every team revealed their regular-season schedule for the 2024-25 NHL campaign on Tuesday. Washington will open their 50th anniversary season on Saturday, October 12 against the New Jersey Devils at Capital One Arena.
Here is the full schedule:
A few notes:
- The Four Nations Faceoff tournament will take place from February 12-20 in Boston and Montreal
- There will be no NHL All-Star Game
- Last Game of Regular-Season: Thursday, April 17 at Pittsburgh Penguins
- Longest Homestand: five games from February 21-March 3 (Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, St. Louis Blues, Tampa Bay Lightning, Ottawa Senators)
- Longest Road Trip: five games from January 21-30 (Edmonton, Seattle Kraken, Vancouver Canucks, Calgary, Ottawa Senators)
- Eight sets of back-to-backs

Opening night of the NHL season will be on Tuesday, October 8 when the Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers host the Boston Bruins in their championship banner-raising night. [Click to enlarge]
There will be two nightcaps featuring the St. Louis Blues visiting the Seattle Kraken and the Utah Hockey Club hosting the Chicago Blackhawks in their first game since moving from Arizona.
