Washington Capitals’ Roster For Fourth Preseason Game vs. Columbus Blue Jackets: Charlie Lindgren To Suit Up, Jakub Vrana To Get Another Look

The Washington Capitals released the roster that will be iced for their fourth preseason game on Friday night vs. the Columbus Blue Jackets (7 PM ET, Monumental Sports Network in-market, ESPN+ out-of-market).

2018 Stanley Cup Champion left-wing Jakub Vrana, who is attending Washington’s training camp on a PTO agreement, will get a third look after notching an assist in the team’s 5-3 win over the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday.

The team’s projected top-line of Alex Ovechkin, Dylan Strome, and Andrew Mangiapane, in addition to the top-pairing of Jakob Chychrun and John Carlson, will play against Columbus after appearing in Newark.

Goaltender Charlie Lindgren will likely appear for the first time this preseason.

Friday’s game will be the Capitals’ third in four nights, begin a home-and-home set with the team set to visit Columbus on Monday, and start the back half of Washington’s preseason slate.

2022 first-round pick (20th overall) Ivan Miroshnichenko and 2023 second-round pick (40th overall) Andrew Cristall are among the prospects slated to play on Friday.
