Washington Capitals Will Open Second Round Of 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs vs. Carolina Hurricanes On Tuesday

The NHL announced that the 2025 second-round Stanley Cup Playoff series between the Washington Capitals and Carolina Hurricanes will open on Tuesday at 7 PM ET (ESPN) at Capital One Arena.

There will be one two-day break in between games of the series: between Game 4 in Raleigh on Monday, May 12 and Game 5 in Washington on Thursday, May 15. Every other game will be separated by two days.

The second round of the postseason will open on Monday with Game 1 between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers (7 PM ET, ESPN). The full schedule for the second round can be found below:

Times for Games 1-4 are released: all will start at 7 PM ET except for Game 3 on Saturday (6 PM ET).
