Deshaun Watson became engaged to Jilly Anais this past weekend with many surprised to learn how long the two have been together for.
The Cleveland Browns quarterback appeared to pop the question this past weekend, with them sharing a post on Instagram as Anais showed a huge diamond rock on her finger.
The couple have been together since 2019, according to multiple reports, meeting in Los Angeles while Watson was still a member of the Houston Texans.
They have remainted together since then, with Anais never publicly commenting on the allegations surrounding Watson, being accused of sexual assault and battery, as well as inappropriate behavior from 24 different massage therapsits – settling 23 of them out of court.
Watson missed the entire 2021 season and was suspended for a further 11 games in 2022 for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy due to the allegations, which he denies. He was also fined $5 million and had to commit to mandatory evaluation and treatment before being reinstated.
Anais had never spoken on the allegations, with the two seemingly remaining strong, as she regularly posted images of herself at his games while moving from Houston to Cleveland together after his 2022 trade to the Browns.
Anais, 29, had been a competitive cheerleader and was crowned Miss Teen Houston back in 2011, going on to form a relationship with the former Texans quarterback in 2019.
With over 2 million followers on Instagram, Anais is a professional model as well as a singer-songwriter. One of her songs, ‘I Must Really Loves You’ appears to reference Watson’s adultery, with lyrics such as ‘You broke trust, but somhow I still trust you’ and ‘the whole world telling me what I need, but all I need is just you’. She goes on to discuss others judging a relationship in the song. The track has 3 million views on YouTube.

Away from the allegations that have surrounded him for the past four years, Watson has had a brutal time on the field in the NFL. Since being traded from the Texans, he has gone from one of the best quarterback’s in the league to arguably the worst – while still in his prime years.
The trade saw the Browns give up three first-round picks for Watson before giving him a $250 million fully-guaranteed contract, with him struggling greatly over the last two years.
He will hope to get his career back on track in Cleveland in 2025, having undergone two Achilles tendon surgeries over the past four months.
