Who is Tyler Shough’s wife? Quarterback’s partner who stole show at NFL Draft – Football – Sports

Tyler Shough heard his name get called in the 2005 NFL Draft and while that was a momentous occasion for the Shough family, it was his wife, Jordan, who enamored fans.

Jordan – nee Wormdahl – captured the attention of fans around the same time FS1’s Joy Taylor made a raunchy confession, potentially at the expense of her nephew Mason Taylor, after admitting being “nervous” for him. Fans also claimed that Jaxson Dart’s mother, Kara, was a winner of the NFL Draft.

Still, Jordan garnered the attention of fans during the NFL Draft. They were quick to post their thoughts on the former soccer star on social media, with some claiming the New Orleans Saints accidentally drafted the wrong person.

“With the 40th pick in the NFL draft, the New Orleans Saints select Jordan Shough…I mean Tyler…sorry I got the wrong person,” a fan wrote.

Along with celebrating her partner’s accomplishment of making it to the NFL, Jordan is an athlete in her own right, playing soccer fo the University of Oregon. Speaking to Women in Flight in 2023, Jordan explained how prevalent sports is in her life, as she is surrounded by athletes.

“My mom and dad were both college athletes, so it was just what you did in my family,” she said at the time. “My mom was a soccer player and a coach. I took my first steps on the soccer field which sounds so cliche, but it’s actually what happened. So it’s been in my blood, it’s what you do in my family.

“I feel lucky enough that I’m good at it and it’s what I love to do. It’s what brings me joy, so that was just something I ran with as a kid. It was my escape from the rest of the world. I could go and play, whether it was track or basketball or soccer. Obviously, I landed on soccer, but sports in general provided me this opportunity to escape.

“I didn’t have to be what society wanted me to be anymore, I could be whoever I wanted to be, to play, to let go and to be free.” Tyler and Jordan met while at Oregon, with the former being a member of the Ducks from 2018 to 2020.

Though Tyler saw his career take him to different collegiate programs, the two remained close, with the star quarterback proposing to Jordan in 2022. In April 2024, the two were married, with Jordan posting a message on Instagram after their one-year anniversary.

“Year One!! This year has been about as insane as they come! The vows I said a year ago have never been more true!! A lifetime will never be enough!!” Jordan wrote, along with a 10-photo carousel of their wedding in La Jolla, California. Tyler also posted a lengthy message to Jordan after their one-year.

“Happy 1 Year Anniversary to my wife!! This year has been nothing short of amazing and I can’t think of having anyone else by my side on this journey. Thank you for being you, for sacrificing everything, and pushing us towards greatness! Love you,” he wrote on Instagram.

Saints fans will get more familiar with Tyler and Jordan as the two prepare for the next chapter in the former’s professional career.
