Wilson Misses Washington Capitals’ Practice, Jensen Hopeful And Milano Expected To Return On Friday


The Washington Capitals released a few injury updates heading into their huge game on Friday against the Philadelphia Flyers (7 PM ET, Monumental Sports Network locally, NHL Network out-of-market). Here is a list of the news from their practice at MedStar Capitals Iceplex from Thursday:

    • Assistant coach Scott Allen missed practice due to illness
    • D Nick Jensen, who has missed the last two games (lower-body), said he felt good in practice on Thursday and is hopeful he will return on Friday but the team will see how his body reacts after practice
    • C Nic Dowd, who has missed the last four (upper-body), D Martin Fehervary — five — (lower-body) each skated before practice and are trending in the right direction but will not play on Friday
    • LW Sonny Milano, who has been absent during the last two (illness), is expected to return on Friday
    • RW Tom Wilson missed practice due to personal reasons and it is unknown whether he will play on Friday
    • RW T.J. Oshie, who has missed the last three (upper-body), did not skate
