After vomiting twice, she passed out on a couch, waking up briefly to see one of her friends, Covington and McLemore all asleep, she said. McLemore was sitting at the end of the couch where she was lying down, she testified. She said at one point, still groggy from alcohol, she awoke to discover McLemore raping her. She froze in terror and did not react, she said. “I don’t know who this person is,” she testified. “This is a random person that is doing something like this to me.” She said her “body felt locked.” “Because if I’m playing dead, maybe it would make it stop,” she said. -via Oregonian / June 19, 2025
